Position: Welder/Fabricator (MIG/ARC/TORCH)�
JOB REF#: 43571 - 1419554
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract)
Location: ONSITE - Torrance, CA 90501
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour (W2 Only)

Welder will maintain in working order all facility equipment to include conveyor systems, pneumatic stops and lift systems, manual pushcarts, shipping/receiving workstations, picking modules, shipping cages, safety barriers and Order Picker platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
• Minor electrical repair up to 240v.
• Administer and maintain annual, bi-annual and monthly preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate and Maintain vendor accounts with approval of LAPDC management
• Perform special projects outside of standard hours and weekends. (Preplanned and coordinated with tech)
• Keeps updated inventory of all equipment and supplies.
• Update maintenance tracking log (excel sheet) and communicate progress of projects to management.
• Maintain an organized and clean maintenance workshop, workstations and equipment/tool storage.
• Disposes of trash, job debris, unrepairable material daily; keeps the workshop clean at all times.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Welding; ability to perform arc welding, MIG welding, Torch cutting
• Knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous material.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees and or management staff.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.��
• Proficient in the utilization of electrical test equipment. (i.e. multi meters, Amp meters)
• Excellent time management skills; ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision
• Education: High school diploma - graduated
