Our client, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions, is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with expertise in Atlassian tools to join their dynamic team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to manage and respond to product security issues while leveraging your skills in Python automation and project management within a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Role Summary:

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring and analyzing security events related to product cybersecurity, developing automation tools, and coordinating remediation efforts. You will utilize Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence alongside Microsoft Office Suite to manage projects, document processes, and facilitate cross-team communication. Staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats will be essential to enhancing the organization’s security posture.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts related to product cybersecurity issues.
- Develop and maintain security tools and scripts to automate incident response tasks using Python.
- Utilize Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) and Microsoft Suite to manage product cybersecurity projects, document processes, and communicate across teams.
- Conduct thorough investigations into product cybersecurity issues and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to improve security measures.
- Prepare and present security reports and metrics to management and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency with Atlassian suite, particularly Jira and Confluence.
- In-depth knowledge of product security principles including secure SDLC, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with common software vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.

Required Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in cybersecurity core concepts such as encryption, secure boot, and secure communications.
- Strong technical competence in Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent English communication skills for business and technical discussions.
