The Body Production Engineering�Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated�Dimensional Accuracy Technician (Quality Seibi). They will primarily be responsible in supporting new model Quality Seibi project activities at various U.S., Canada and Mexico NAMCs / Tool Vendors, including preparation of daily plans; job tracking; lead / foster good communications and dimensional problem solving; support Kaizens; ensure team safety; standardized work adherence; manage/report out measurement equipment, part data and measurement data. This includes reporting to the Quality Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Body Production Engineering department's objective to meet or exceed our NAMC customers’ expectation for sheet metal body and sub-assembly accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Check/confirm body weld jigs, tools, pallets, parts and assemblies to meet quality targets/KPIs for new model launch.
• Prepare, troubleshoot and confirm new tooling/equipment, parts and sub-assemblies at various tool/equipment vendors. Support weld and tool quality confirmation activities at NAMCs from installation through SOP.
• Create detailed Quality Seibi daily plans, Project Task Reports, Problem Follow Sheets, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA, CMs/remedies to unsafe conditions, & safety audits), and support daily/weekly verbal and
written communication with the Quality Seibi Project Leader, BAC and Seibi Management.
• Provide effective written and verbal communication with Quality Seibi Team Members, BAC, Management and outside groups regarding dimensional information and issues that require resolution.
• Gather/manage part information from Digital Engineering systems and drawings. Analyze part/sub-assembly dimensional data and feedback to Project Leader and Seibi Management.
• Perform equipment/tool/part confirmation utilizing Vectorarm, FARO Arm, FARO Laser Tracker, check fixtures, weld tooling/equipment measurements, and part fitting activities. �
• Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S and machine suppliers within the US and Mexico, as well as foreign travel to Canada.
• Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays

This role involves extensive travel:
• 75% TRAVEL to Mexico, Canada and Japan (PASSPORT REQUIRED) - Must be�ELIGIBLE�to travel domestically frequently�(at least once every two weeks for the foreseeable future)�to Canada/Mexico to support project work at other plants.��
• Able to work 50% overtime, including weekend and holidays

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
**MUST have experience with FARO/CMM/Metrology (precision measurement/quality control)**
• 1 year Automotive Body Dimensional Quality experience required
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Proficient with DE tools related to Body Welding, including: 3D Magic, PolyWorks
• Strong ability to review and interpret part, machine / jig drawings and 3D data
• Proficient with Body Quality measurement tools and techniques
• EDUCATION: High School Graduate/GED or higher college degree

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience with mentoring and/or technical training
• Proficient with DE tools related to Body Weld metrology/dimensional measurement, including: Catia, AutoCAD etc
• Skilled in gathering and analyzing all quality related part/jig/CMM data
• Proficient with basic Robot teaching
