Senior DevOps Engineer

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will be part of a 24/7 team supporting web and mobile apps. As a Sr. DevOps engineer you will work closely with the web and application development teams to do the following:

What will you do?
· Designing, building infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
· Manage cloud-based infrastructure; may be required to provide support off-hours if needed.
· Use infrastructure management tools like Terraform for provisioning.
· Troubleshooting full web and mobile stack.
· Candidate should have experience in managing MySQL or NoSQL databases receiving high traffic.
· Candidate should have experience in monitoring tools (Dynatrace.)
· Troubleshoot production issues; escalate and communicate as required.
· Performance tuning for hosting environments, including application components.
· Build design and training documentation required for each automation project.
· Work with software development teams to improve the readiness for operational deployment.
· Write scripts to automate operations, server management and auto scaling.
· Responsible for code and server Security aspects.

What do you need to succeed?
· At least 5 years’ experience with building and maintaining applications in large-scale consumer websites running on Linux using Nginx, MongoDB, node.js, PHP, JavaScript.
· Strong experience with RedHat/CentOS Linux.
· Strong scripting experience in Python and Shell.
· Experience with managing databases MySQL and No-SQL like MongoDB.
· Experience in building Terraform stacks.
· Familiar with GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube for source control, deployments and continuous integration.
· Experience in AWS services like EC2, Autoscaling, ALB, CloudFront, ECS, Route 53.
· Ability to be proactive and work well in a pressured and growing environment.
· Ability to think out of the box and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priority dynamically and maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
· Familiar with ELK stack or any similar logging cluster.
· Must demonstrate strong sense of urgency regarding solving mission critical issues.
· Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention details.
· Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must be a team player and be able to work effectively with peers to create a positive environment.
AWS Certification is a big plus.
