Our client, a leading provider of innovative automotive solutions, is seeking a Lab and Equipment Technician. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge vehicle electronics and contribute to the development of advanced automotive technologies.

Duration: Full-time
Location: Onsite (Plano,TX)

Work Arrangement: Onsite (Plano,TX)

Role Summary:

The Lab and Equipment Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining test bench and retrofit vehicle environments to support 24MM evaluation, including functional, combination, high load, and performance testing. The technician will design or obtain parts and conversion equipment as needed and support the evaluation team throughout the entire life cycle of product evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and process standardization.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain test bench and retrofit vehicle environments for 24MM evaluation.
- Design or obtain necessary parts and conversion equipment to evaluate head-unit interactions with vehicle components.
- Support the evaluation team through planning, testing, labs and equipment management, and maintenance.
- Implement continuous improvement and process standardization during the evaluation phase.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Vehicle Electronics Development.
- Strong ability to document Engineering Specifications and Evaluation Specifications.
- Experience with development models such as Agile, SDLC, and open source methodologies.

Required Skills/Experience:

- Knowledge of in-vehicle technology platforms including Bluetooth, BLE, Wifi, CAN, or MOST.
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis, triaging issues, and documenting findings.
- Strong familiarity with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
