Our client, a leading provider of innovative cybersecurity solutions, is seeking a Mobile Application Security Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of securing next-generation automotive solutions worldwide.

Position: Mobile Application Security Engineer

Work Arrangement: Onsite (Hybrid model possible for strong candidates)

Role Summary:

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall cybersecurity posture within the Product Cybersecurity Group. You will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across various platforms, including APIs, mobile applications (iOS and Android), wireless protocols, and Linux systems. Your responsibilities will include penetration testing, proof-of-concept exploits, and reverse engineering software to uncover vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct analysis of security requirements specifications against implementation.
- Perform security assessments and penetration testing on mobile applications (iOS and Android), wireless security, APIs, and Linux OS.
- Communicate complex technical findings and recommend appropriate courses of action, supporting mitigation and re-validation efforts.
- Develop skills through continuous learning and apply knowledge relevant to emerging attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploits.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems and shell scripting.
- Experience performing security assessments on OS or application-level mobile applications.
- Strong interest in acquiring and developing additional skills, particularly in embedded systems security fundamentals.

Required Skills/Experience:

- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Swift, Kotlin, and Python.
- Knowledge of network security principles and various wireless security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Burp Suite, Frida, disassemblers, debuggers, and static code analysis.

Other Skills:

- Understanding of hardware principles with a focus on security aspects (e.g., Hardware Security Module, Secure Boot).
- Strong background in security engineering and various authentication protocols.
- Experience with on-board communication interfaces such as JTAG, SPI, UART, and SWD.
