We are seeking a highly skilled Automation/Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Ansible to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automation modules that integrate seamlessly into existing basecode and for evaluating and recommending improvements to CI/CD pipelines. A background in networking, experience with GitLab, and web-based development knowledge are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and integrate automation modules using Python and Ansible to fit into existing codebases, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and create efficient automation workflows that optimize processes.
· Evaluate current CI/CD pipelines and make strategic recommendations for improvements to increase deployment efficiency, reliability, and security.
· Build and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for automation of various infrastructure and application deployments.
· Ensure automation solutions follow best practices for networking, security, and system administration, leveraging your networking background.
· Integrate automation scripts and modules with GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.
· Collaborate with DevOps teams to support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes using GitLab and other CI/CD tools.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize automation processes to ensure smooth deployments.
· Contribute to web-based development initiatives (where applicable), working on web technologies that integrate with automation pipelines.
· Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for automated processes, modules, and CI/CD improvements.
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in software development and automation using Python and Ansible.
· Proven experience developing automation modules and integrating them into existing codebases.
· Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, with the ability to evaluate and recommend improvements.
· Experience with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipeline automation, and code collaboration.
· Networking background, with knowledge of network configurations, protocols, and troubleshooting.
· Familiarity with web-based development and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar technologies).
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for automation and infrastructure management.
· Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
· Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
· Knowledge of security best practices in automation and deployment environments.
· Certifications in Python, Ansible, networking, or cloud technologies.
