Position: Jr. Construction Engineer (Commercial Renovations)

Duration: 12+ Months (Contract)
Location: ONSITE - Georgetown, KY 40324
Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour (W2 ONLY)

This role is 100% ONSITE (Must be LOCAL or willing to relocating at your own expense)

Provide support coordination and ownership of Capex and Operation budgets. They will MUST have experience with Commercial/Industrial renovations and facility improvement projects on the commercial side.

Responsibilities include:
• Manage overall Capital Budget program
• Primary point of contact for overseeing Operating Budget
• Develop KPI and visualization tools to accurately and concisely report on budget status
• Provide engineering and project management support for activities at non-manufacturing site
• Manage overall project schedule and budget including management reporting.
• Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, budget, safety, and current open issues.
• Monitor contractor performance as to safety, cost and schedule performance tracking.
• Development of detailed user criteria documentation for project implementation activities.
• Development of scope of work for the procurement of materials and labor.
• Review Specifications, Utility Standards, Drawing Reviews, and coordination with customers.
• Monitor and coordinate architect/engineer site visits and responses to contractor inquiries.
• Monitor delivery and review of shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate update and review meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor progress on activities.
• Provide an initial review of vendor and contractor payment applications, validating actual project progress against approved schedule of values.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and make recommendations regarding proposed change directives & change orders.
• Oversee the contractor’s Quality Control program and ensure Quality Control procedures adhere to the plans.
• Will be required to work 10 hours of overtime each week and and travel 10% domestically

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
** Looking for a Jr. Engineers who has Construction experience with planning/budgeting
• Experience with Commercial/Industrial renovations and facility improvement projects mostly on the commercial side.
• Construction project planning and managing complex budgets
• Experience with individual project construction types of various scope and size.
• Technical knowledge of design/building construction engineering and schedule management
• Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
• Education: Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Engineering, Architecture or Construction management.�

Other Requirements:
• Must be able to travel 10%
• Must be able to work 10 hours a week of over-time, including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Able to work Onsite full-time, when not traveling.

• Software capabilities: AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio
• Technical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating
• General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements
