Position: Mechanical Planning/Design Engineer
JOB REF#: 1078028
Duration: 12+ Months (On-going Contract)
Location: Georgetown, KY 40324 (Hybrid)
Rate: Open/Market Rate (W2 Only)

This is a Hybrid role - – 50% in office, 50% remote

**Must be local or willing to relocate at your own expense**

Mechanical Planning & Design Engineer to plan and develop projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities Include:
• Develop technical evaluation criteria related to sizing and design for the renewal of mechanical systems (chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, piping, controls, cooling towers, etc.)
• Provide technical support to N.A. plants in areas of mechanical system sizing, design, and pre-construction planning.
• Serve as N.A. "Subject Matter Expert" related to mechanical systems.
• Investigate building industry trends, global client trends, and current/past building issues to introduce innovation and improvements for N.A. mechanical systems
• Support the development of N.A. building standards/specifications for mechanical systems.
• Complete technical evaluation criteria related to potential building expansions including system capacity studies, estimates of modified/new mechanical systems, and schedules to implement.
• Provide internal review of mechanical system drawings from outside engineering firms to support system implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 3+ Experience in industrial mechanical system design & implementation.
• 3+ Experience in industrial buildings and building related systems.
** Able to take technical information and putting it into PPT format to create business case justifications.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, or other PDF editing software.
• Education: Post High school technical training or certification, or equivalent work experience (need to have worked industrial maintenance, teach robots)

Desired/Nice To Have Skills:
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Mechanical estimating experience
• College Degree in Mechanical Engineer
