Position: Systems Administrator
JOB REF#: 24246

Location: Torrance, CA 90501
Rate: Open/Market Rate (W2 Only)

Calance is a 1st tier vendor with 25 consultants working on-site for this global client. Although this is a contract role, the average consultant has been on project between 5-7 years.

This position is mostly remote/work from home, but you must be willing to occasionally come into the office (Local Candidates ONLY) when needed

Responsibilities include:
• Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
• Responsible for trouble shooting server problems as reported by users
• Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment
• Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installs new servers and maintains the server infrastructure
• Defines procedures for monitoring and evaluates, diagnoses and establishes work plan to resolve system issues
• Performs troubleshooting for complex hardware, software and network problems
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services
• Develops and promotes standard operating procedures

Tasks completed on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis, project assigned
• Windows 10 3rd level support troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting Client related issues pertaining to the O365 suite and Windows client
• Access database 32 bit to 64 bit conversion
• Support tickets and projects pertaining to Access database conversions and Microsoft 365 client issues in Outlook and Excel mainly
• Office 365 Client troubleshooting, Windows 10 deployments, PowerShell scripting automation. Most tasks are based on incidents.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: (Resume must reflect this experience)
- 4+ years Systems Administration, installing and configuring computer systems and providing network administration
- Experience providing Level III Windows 10, Windows Client and Microsoft 0365 client troubleshooting issues
- Experience with VBA/Access databases conversion
- SCCM experience
- PowerShell (PowerShell scripting automation) experience
- Basic knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange 2003.
- Basic knowledge Microsoft IIS and SQL Server, WebSphere and/or Apache Tomkat
- Basic knowledge of SAN environments
