Calance is a 1st tier vendor with 25 consultants working on-site for this global client. Although this is a contract role, the average consultant has been on project between 5-7 years. Initially all work will be remote during Covid, but eventually ALL work will return to 100% onsite.

Cyber Security Analyst will work with the business units and with other risk functions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments. Components of this activity include but are not limited to:

• Provide Business system analysis, communication, facilitation and consensus building.
• Coordinate and complete information security operations documentation.
• Work with information security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
• Reports to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.
• Plays a advisory role in application development or acquisition projects to assess security requirements and controls, ensuring security controls are implemented as planned.
• Collaborates on critical IT projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
• Works with IT department and members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls.
• Develops security processes and procedures, and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained.
• Advises security administrators on normal and exception-based processing of security authorization requests.
• Researches, evaluates and recommends information-security-related hardware and software, including developing business cases for security investments.

Daily Tasks Performed
• Identify, collect, and perform analysis of raw, primary and secondary Cyber Security data derived from various sources
• Investigate, document, and report on information Cyber Security issues and emerging trends
• Provide actionable strategic, technical, and tactical cyber information and intelligence to mgmt stakeholders through weekly, monthly, and adhoc reports, briefings,
and presentations
• Assist in providing threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services
**Due to Covid, initially all work will be performed remote, eventually ALL work will return to 100% onsite **
• 3+ years of Information Security, Information Risk concepts and principles and security controls.
• Worked with Cyber Threat intelligence, Actors, Malware, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
• Worked with various security methodologies and processes or working knowledge of intelligence analysis and tradecraft
• Worked with Cyber operational security, providing log analysis, NetFlow analysis, incident response, Malware analysis, computer forensics, and/or cyber crime
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Developed and documented security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
• Worked with Info Sec Mgmt frameworks: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700x, ITIL, COBIT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)]
• In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies, performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments.
• Strong understanding of business applications, including ERP and/or Financial Systems.
• Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems [for example, Microsoft Windows and Oracle Solaris]
• Worked with a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, identity and access mgmt (IAM) systems, anti-malware solutions, automated policy
compliance tools, and desktop security tools.
• Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
• Must have a stable work history, working in a similar role
• Must have EXCELLENT oral communication/written skills
• Education: Bachelors Degree
