Summary: The Oracle Applications DBA provides functional support and guidance to the Information Technology (IT) Department servicing the EBS Oracle Suite and demonstrates responsibility for the implementation, support, patching and tuning of the following:

Oracle Application Server and Oracle Database administration.
Strong in installation/configuration/admin of Oracle Business/tech software on Oracle Fusion/WebLogic technology.
Configuration and administration of the EBS environment including Oracle RAC database, concurrent managers, workflow, application servers and peripheral databases.
Assist the functional team in installing, troubleshooting and optimizing interface points with SOA, B2B, Discoverer, Demantra, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM/OTM TI), business Intelligence (OBIEE/OBIEA) and Siebel.
Support for production and non-production / Disaster Recovery environments.

This position is part of a DBA team providing support for a 24/7, highly available Oracle EBS database and applications and other important peripheral environments (like OTM, SOA, Siebel, Demantra), providing the backbone for business units to operate efficiently and effectively while continuing to improve business processes. Participate in IT development initiatives and service delivery to generate profitable sales. The Oracle EBS Application DBA is responsible for the continuous improvement of the Oracle EBS database and application server environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish prioritization of service requests based on the analysis of business requirements provided by Service Support Desk Representatives.
Work closely with the functional and development teams to support the Oracle EBS, OTM, Demantra, SOA, Siebel,
Participate in the release management process to coordinate any updates, patches or cross-functional issues.
Work with Oracle support to provide timely resolution to open service requests.
Maintaining production as well as non-production environment for patching, cloning, code migration,
Participate in on-call rotation.
Collaborate with a team of IT representatives as assigned in one of several areas: application development, functional support, infrastructure support and/or business process improvement.
Oversee the delivery of service on user requests through different channels to ensure service issues are designed, tested and resolved accurately and in compliance with business requirements.
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple issues and projects and achieve timely resolution of service requests.
Direct others in project management as directed to include preparation of a project plan, develop project status reports, research and gather business requirements needed for service ticket resolution, design solutions, and formulate process flow design.
Collaborate and communicate closely with end user, business unit(s), and other IT representatives to forge a close customer relationship and deliver prompt and effective service.
Oversee the deployment of basic and complex enhancements by IT support team members.
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings in support of IT systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A bachelor’s degree in science (BS) and/or arts (BA) in computer science (CS), management information systems (MIS) or equivalent experience is required. Oracle certification is highly desirable. A minimum level of five to ten years of implementation or production support experience is required in Oracle Fusion Middleware/WebLogic, Oracle E-Business suite and experience with the release 12.0.6. and Oracle Database (RAC) 11g/12c.

Must demonstrate expertise in application server support and performance tuning. Possess excellent Java, Oracle Applications framework and J2EE support and configuration skills. Must have strong Fusion Middleware, WebLogic, application server support experience (forms, reporting, Oracle AS web server tuning, MWA Administration), strong project management skills, knowledge of Oracle AIM Methodology, including Requirements documentation, Solution Design documentation, and Testing documentation. Performance of essential functions require strong verbal and written communication skills in English, excellent customer service skills, and advanced computer knowledge of Operating Systems. Must have demonstrated experience as an Oracle Apps DBA in a 24x7 Environment. Must have excellent customer service skills.
