The CITRIX engineer position will hold responsibility for specialized information technology areas performing advanced operational, analytical, and/or technical support functions to maintain and improve the CITRIX environment.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Development and Maintenance

o Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Citrix environment
o Perform routine infrastructure analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or expand service levels. Ensure that plans integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure.
o Develop and configure the infrastructure from migration through stabilization of environment and applications.
o Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements for enterprise Citrix architecture, guiding adoption of and adherence to standard operating procedures.
o Responsible for roadmaps, maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Citrix environment and related dependent technologies Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
o Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the virtualization platforms.
o Lead support efforts Citrix 7.15 LTSR environment including increased redundancy, improved end user experience, and disaster recovery preparedness.

Secondary Functions:

o Work with application owners to migrate existing applications from current Citrix 6.5 environments to the new Citrix 7.15 environments.
o Provide leadership and technical guidance to other System Engineers and Field Support in project management, planning, reporting, scheduling, and workflow.

Job Scope:
Provides high level of support to multiple Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7.x environments throughout the organization

Specific Job Skills and Experience:
o 4+ years of experience with Citrix enterprise services infrastructure support including
o Design, administering, configuring, optimizing and maintaining Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7.x environments.
o Advanced trouble shooting of Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7.x environments (Enterprise Level).
o Citrix certified CCA is a plus
o Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP
o 4+ years of experience managing and working in a highly virtualized x86 environment including a strong knowledge and experience supporting VMware vSphere systems
