As a 1st tier vendor with 30 consultants working for this client nationwide, we have been asked to identify candidates with a Global Company in Torrance, CA. Although this is a contract role, it's long-term, as the average consultant is on project between 5-9 years. All work will be performed on-site and you MUST be available for a face to face interviews (Local Candidates only/No remote worked offered).

Project Mgr, responsible for Application Development, Production Support and Enhancement Services for mainframe applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget.
• Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews
• Tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources 
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed 
• Manages one or more cross‐functional projects of high complexity 
• Manage one or more medium to large‐sized, moderately to highly complex projects 

Daily Tasks Performed
• Provide Project management support to other PM's on larger Projects 
• Run smaller Projects on own by using standard PM tools in place 
• Supports and evaluates Project budgets & schedules 
• Supports multiple Project methodologies (Agile & Waterfall) 
• Gathers & Delivers complete documentation for estimates, for all Project phases 
• Determines Project resource allocation as well as determining ongoing support issues after go-live 
• Help determine and capture future business requirements
• Facilitate and coordinates design sessions
• Provide Systems Design and Application Development in an IBM Mainframe environment
• Research and Resolve production issues, troubleshooting of on-line and batch abends
• Support nightly production batch process
 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: (Resume must reflect this experience)
• Project Managing managing small/large projects, including project plans, schedules and budgets for Mainframe legacy systems
• Experience with budget forecasting, variance analysis, and budget management
• Experience supporting Waterfall and Agile projects, processes and methodologies
• Experience providing systems design/applications development for mainframe applications
• Must be experienced with all types of transmissions and encryptions from IBM zOS mainframe, such as FTP, SFTP, EDI, NDM, MFT, PGP.
• Proficient with COBOL, DB2, MQ, and JCL
• Must have experience with interface data mapping
• Experience using project tools: MS Project, Visio, Jira, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field

DESIRED SKILLS:
• PMP Certified
• Automotive Finance industry or Financial Service (automotive lending, Customer Service, Payment Processing, Taxes, End of Term and Extension processes, Collections, Delinquency
Tracking, Repossession, Charge Off, Recovery, Bankruptcy, and Accounting) 
• Familiarity with Agile & Waterfall test practices and deliverables for unit testing 
• Familiarity with the Salesforce Service & Marketing cloud platform a plus
