Position: Sr. Treasury Accounting Analyst

Rate: Open/Market Rate (W2 ONLY/H1B Transfer)

As a 1st tier premier vendor and we have been asked to identify candidates for the position below. We currently have 70 consultants billing with this client nationwide and have been awarded Supplier Of The Year 5x with this client. The average consultants is on project between 2-5 years. All work must be performed on-site (no remote work offered) and you must be available for a face to face interviews.

Work closely with the Treasury Accounting Manager and Treasury team to understand and account for new products, evaluate the impact of proposed changes in existing products or systems. Collaborate with other Accounting & Tax team members to provide requested information, ensure their understanding of new or complex treasury related issues. Work with the Company’s internal and external auditors to provide necessary information and respond to questions or requests for additional information. Member of the Treasury team as an accounting subject matter expert and consultant. Often participate in key accounting initiatives such as the IFRS implementation, ERP implementation, and similar initiatives as a treasury subject matter expert. Participate in key accounting or treasury initiatives as the treasury accounting subject matter expert.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Support demanding, project-oriented for the Capital Markets Accounting Services
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and rollforwards to ensure the accuracy of reported information.
• Participate in quarterly and annual iFEM, SEC, governmental or statutory reporting processes including but not limited to developing and/or updating financial reporting and related disclosures for use in the SEC or parent reporting processes.
• Complete annual SOX compliance testing
• Assist with ad hoc requests, including subledger, systems upgrades, new product implementation, spreadsheet controls or automation, internal controls design or implementation.
• Identifying potential opportunities for improvement in the accounting, tax, and finance areas
• Gaining a thorough understanding of business and Accounting policies, systems and processes

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
** Must have a blended background with Big 4 public accounting firm (BDO, PWC, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton etc) AND non public accounting exp is required
• 5+ years as an Accountant/Analyst, experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, developing and updating financial reports
• Must be certified as a CPA
• Must have experience with General Ledger accounting
• Education: Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS]
• Advanced skills in Excel, complex formulas (ex.; macros, SumIf, Vlookup, pivot tables).
• Worked with PeopleSoft, Hyperion Enterprise products such as SmartView
• Experience using MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Education: Bachelors Degree

Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
• CFA or working towards CFA is desirable
• Experience in financial services industry preferred.
• Experience in financial analysis or financial markets are preferred.
• Working knowledge of treasury funding accounting and reporting requirements including debt, derivatives, and investments (ASC 815, 820 and 825) preferred
