Middleware Operations Engineer II

Only considering US citizens or GC holders as conversion to Perm is also open for the position.  Initially remote due to COVID but eventually onsite in Malvern office.

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive:
• Operationally support and administer various Master Data Management (MDM) environments
• Proactively manage and monitor all pre-production and production environments for MDM.
• Adopt, customize and implement industry standard DevOps policies and DevOps procedures
• Apply best practices of CI/CD - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Act as key technical resource for MDM deployment and migration efforts
• Serve as technical escalation point for issues and drive escalation/resolution of problems
• Proactively evaluate the MDM environment for optimum performance and improvements.
• Provide metrics and other reporting materials for the executive team.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required. Will need to be on-call at any time to handle escalations and incidents
• Skilled in MDM/BAW Admin activities on WebSphere Application Server and IBM App Connect Professional servers (formerly knowns as IBM CastIron).
• Ability to manage deployment (Jenkins) for MDM, BPM and IBM App Connect Professional.
• Good exposure to IBM DB2 admin activities.
• Able to write Unix scripts to automate DevOps activities on WAS servers.
• Experience managing the SFTP servers and mounting Windows shared drives. Manage SFTP servers related tasks (add/remove users).
• Deploying applications, Configure Certificates and performing all deployment related tasks related on WAS and ACP servers as needed.
• In-take any ad hoc requests from team via corporate chat software.
• DevOps tools such as VMWare, Kubernetes, Dockers etc
• Experience managing container clusters
• Experience working in CI/CD Pipeline
• Experience as a UNIX/LINUX systems administrator and python scripting.
• Exposure to SDLC tools like JIRA, COnfluence, Bit Bucket to perform necessary activities as needed.
• Monitor logs and resolve issues found in those logs. Provide support on ELK integration on Kibana.
• Answer questions and support users on systems supported by the applications development group.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Services with 5 or more years of experience.
• Advance level of skill with WebSphere Application Servers and DevOps (Jenkins, Git(bitbucket))
• Experience with App Connect management API,DB2, Unix scripting is a plus.
